The tranquil paradise known as The Cliff Hotel….

I am thinking of paradise on this rainy day. Even when it rained during my stay at this resort, I still felt a calmness and peace that is hard to obtain.

I stayed at the Cliff Hotel in early December 2016. I was in Negril for the Reggae Marathon with my sister and a friend (I completed the 10K, lol).

I had been to Negril years before and stayed on the beach. I wanted to get the cliff experience during this trip. I am so glad I choose this hotel!

It is hard to exceed my expectations but the Cliff Hotel did just that. Upon check in, the front desk staff called for complimentary welcome drinks. The lobby is beautiful, with the modern decor, light colors and photos on the wall makes it feel cozy but open. The lobby opens up to a beautiful pond, pool and breathtaking view of the cliffs/water.

We stayed in a Deluxe Junior Suite. It was very spacious, clean and had a large bathroom. Our balcony had plenty of seating and the hammock was a nice cozy touch. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The view of the sunset from the cliff bar is a must! The views from the hotel restaurant is so serene, you could sit there all day.

If you want to avoid the crowds at Rick’s Cafe, you can jump off the cliffs at the hotel. My sister was nervous about jumping from the cliffs and the lifeguards graciously jumped in first to ease her anxiety. I can not wait to return to this hotel for a another relaxing and restoring vacation. I literally did not want to come home!!

I can not wait to return to this oasis!! For now, I’ll have to settle for the jerk chicken (currently marinating for about five hours) and fried plantains we are cooking for dinner tonight……
